You Have Risen
Eyes clear to picture bright of orange between
Wind parting for the light enameled where
Your pillows by your heart's new golden sheen
Divide like daisies rising in the air
From stems made old on long forgotten dirt
A flight all time, forever meadow bloom
Before the never falls like ancient hurt
I can't remember any more than doom
That stays apart from you; the death that's fuzz
Like steamboats in a time that won't return
And never was, because it never was
Just bugs so small they spread the light you burn
And gasp and sigh and spin at once to see
That you have risen, and you've taken me
